This LCN 6400 Compact Series Low Energy Automatic Door Module Kit LCN6440 689 is designed for low to medium traffic interior openings. It is ideal for applications that need touchless access or accessible operation and can help your facility meet basic needs related to accessibility and touchless access on interior openings. Whether you are upgrading a single opening, renovating a portion of your building or constructing a new facility, the COMPACT series enables you to promote a healthy and accessible environment.

The unique modular design makes the COMPACT Series simple and cost-effective. The core elements of the solutions are a motor gearbox assembly, a 4040XP mechanical closer and wireless or hardwired actuators. For existing openings, your can repurpose the 4040XP closer. For new openings, you can configure a complete solution to meet your needs.

The COMPACT motor gearbox assembly is surface installed on the door or top jamb and attaches to the 4040XP with a mounting plate and just 4 screws. It can be powered by a standard wall outlet or an external power supply. The operator includes a wiring harness with a wall adaptor plug that steps down the building’s 110 voltage to 24VDC. A door loop kit is included to route the wiring from the door to the wall. At the time of initial set-up, there is a simple calibration process with visible and audible feedback. The intuitive user interface allows you to set opening speed, power boost and hold open time. After initial set-up, normal adjustments can be made to the 4040XP, using the green dial and regulation valves.

Mechanical Compatibility:

  • Adjustments can be made to the 4040XP mechanical closer using the regulation valves for main and latch speed.
  • Can accommodate doors up to 185 lbs. 

Electronic Features: 

  • All electronic programming is done via the user interface (UI) on the module
  • Audible and visual indicators provide feedback through the calibration process
  • Electronic Features include: - Opening Speed - Hold Open Duration - Power Boost (On/Off) - Motor (On/Off) - Receipt of Fire Signal - Receipt of Actuation Signal
  • The RF receivers and transmitters will come pre-programmed when purchased as part of 6440-3813W or 6440-2210 kits. 

Power Management: 

  • A door loop (included with COMPACT) is used when solution is door mounted.
  • Input voltage is 24VDC
  • On-board power supply 75mA @ 24VDC to power wireless receiver
  • A wall adapter that can plug into a standard wall outlet is provided and converts 120V down to 24V.
  • A power supply, such as the Von Duprin PS902 or the Locknetics LP250 can be used in place of the wall adapter if that is preferred. 

Peripherals: 

  • The COMPACT solution has an actuation input and can power a standard RF receiver.
  • The RF receivers and transmitters will come pre-programmed when purchased as part of 6440-3813W or 6440-2210 kits.
  • The target application for this product is free-swinging doors; for latching applications, additional
  • hardware is required, such as an electric strike, power supply, and relay/option boards. 

Designs & Finishes: 

  • Cover is painted aluminum (ALM/689) or dark bronze (DRKBZ/695)
  • Cylinders and arms are powder coat finish

 Mounting/Arm Options: 

The COMPACT operator is compatible with the standard cylinder and REG or RwPA arms and can accommodate 3 different mounting configurations: 

  • Pull Side (Door Mount)
  • Parallel Arm (Door Mount
  • Top Jamb (Push Side Frame Mount)
